Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Garner
For this year’s God’s work. Our hands. Sunday, Lord of Life, Garner, put faith into action through two service projects. Partnering with Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cary, volunteers packed 15,768 meals for Rise Against Hunger, providing food for families in Ukraine. Working in three shifts, 132 volunteers joined together in joyful service—and even made the evening news!
Closer to home, the congregation also collected groceries for their Backpack Buddies program, which supports children and families in need across nine Garner elementary schools.
From local classrooms to communities across the globe, Lord of Life lived out God’s work with generous hands and caring hearts.
