Calling all North Carolina Synod youth artists, doodlers, designers, and creative thinkers!

Imagine Your Design Here. Your artwork could become the official North Carolina Synod t-shirt for the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering.

We’re looking for a design that captures the spirit, energy, and faith of our synod’s youth as we journey together to Minneapolis. This is an opportunity to share your creativity, help shape our shared identity, and create something that hundreds of youth and adults will wear throughout the Gathering. This contest is an opportunity for youth to take a leadership role by creating a design that represents our synod at the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering.

Whether you love sketching in a notebook, creating digital art, or illustrating by hand, we’d love to see what the North Carolina Synod looks like through your eyes.

Design Guidelines

Please follow these submission requirements:

• Design should reflect the North Carolina Synod and the 2027 ELCA Youth Gathering experience.
• Be creative! Original artwork, illustrations, hand-drawn designs, and digital designs are all welcome. Do not submit AI-generated artwork.
• Please follow the North Carolina Synod Brand Guide when creating your design.
• Designs may use no more than four (4) colors.
• Artwork should be suitable for screen printing on a t-shirt.
• Designs must be submitted as a PDF, PNG, JPG, or other high-resolution image.

We can’t wait to see your creativity and celebrate the gifts God has given you. Your design could be worn by hundreds of youth and adults from across North Carolina as we gather, serve, worship, and grow in faith together.
