“And God Says It Is Good” is an original song written by Pastor Matt Canniff-Kesecker for the North Carolina Synod’s And God Says It Is Good initiative. Congregations are invited to use these free resources in worship, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, camp, children’s choir, and intergenerational ministry settings.

The song celebrates God’s delight in creation and invites children and adults to join in creating, belonging, and building community together.
The sign language movements featured in the instructional video were originally taught by Beverly Elwell to children participating in YouthQuake and are now available for congregations to learn and share.
And God Says It Is Good is a six-year initiative of the North Carolina Synod, ELCA, centered on the imagination, questions, and full humanity of children ages 3–10.
Through storytelling, creativity, and wonder, the initiative equips congregations and families with resources that nurture faith and celebrate the gifts children bring to the life of this church.
