For years, Sunday school has been a cornerstone of faith formation, but as our lives and schedules have changed, Lutheran Church of the Nativity, Arden, has had to look for new ways to learn and engage. Many congregations have seen Sunday school continue to struggle in the wake of COVID-19. “Small Catechisms” is one way that Nativity is moving forward. This new podcast provides an accessible, flexible way to dive into the core teachings of our faith, exploring topics relevant to our daily lives. We conduct interviews with experts in various fields, post sermons, and a weekly Q&A in which listeners are invited to share their questions about the texts.

Pastor Sean Barrett says, “While this podcast is a new way for our congregation to connect, we hope it also serves as an invitation to other congregations to consider how to participate in God’s mission in creative ways.”

You can find “Small Catechisms” on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the church’s website. Please contact this ministry’s leader, Dr. Aaron Davis or Pastor Sean Barrett if you have any questions.
