God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday on September 13 was a great day for the Lord’s message to “tend to those that can’t tend to themselves.” At St. James, Fayetteville, more than 80 folks came together after worship and packed over 60 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse. A few of the more adventurous folks trimmed up our church yard and bushes in need of some love. The quilters made special scarves for over 40 of the shoeboxes. The congregation’s youth delivered cookies and thank-you cards to First Responders in a nearby neighborhood. We all had a nice afternoon visiting with each other for a few hours. It was a Spirit-filled time for God’s Work. Our Hands Sunday!
